It’s been a rough stretch for Charlotte vegan restaurants. We lost the physical location of Dee’s Vegan To Go (can still be found at the farmer’s market), Plant Joy (Soul Miner’s took over the spot), and most recently one of the original pillars of the Charlotte vegan scene Living Kitchen closed their doors.
The bright spot starting off 2024 is the return to the Charlotte area of Mike’s Vegan Grill with a full brick and mortar spot up near UNCC in the same shopping center as Bahn Mi Brothers. Mike’s grand opening is January 27th from 11-9.
